Convert PDF to Word
Upload a PDF and convert it into an editable Microsoft Word document (.docx). Text, headings and basic layout are preserved. Scanned image-only PDFs can use OCR when Tesseract is enabled on the server.
LibreOffice is not installed. A PHP conversion engine will be used. Install LibreOffice for higher-fidelity Office conversions.

- We validate the file type, size and contents.
- Text and layout are extracted from each page.
- An editable DOCX file is generated.
- Download the Word document. Temporary files are deleted automatically.
FAQ
Text, headings and paragraph structure are preserved. Complex layout, custom fonts and vector graphics are best preserved when LibreOffice is installed on the server. Overlay-style scanned PDFs cannot become fully native Word text without OCR.
If the PDF contains no selectable text, enable OCR (Tesseract) on the server. Otherwise the converter will report that the document appears to be image-based.
Files are stored on a private disk, downloaded through authorized routes, and temporary files are deleted after the configured lifetime.
The default limit is 25 MB. Administrators can raise DOCUMENT_MAX_SIZE in the environment configuration.
